Dating back to the early 19th century, this magnificent home was the birthplace of painter/engraver Rodolphe Duguay, recognized in the arts community as having been one of Canada’s masters of engraving in the first half of the 20th century. A guided tour will introduce you to this artist’s world and also that of his wife, writer Jeanne L’Archvêque. The site includes the ancestral home, the Ermitage studio (European style), and the property’s natural setting. Themed exhibitions featuring the painter’s work as well as those of other Quebec artists, and activities.
